to not be blasted by cold weather or fog. there is a little bit up around santa rosa but that is it. big story today, compared to average our temperatures are going to be three to eight degrees warmer than average as we hit the mid-60's to low 70's. here is the visibility in santa rosa, 1.75 miley mile. it is not dangerous. we are clear, though, and 39 inland, and in the mid-40's to near 50 from the bay to the coast through 7:00 and a quick warming today, a great afternoon, if you kickoff early and get the tennis or golf in, low-to-mid 60's, listened at noon and the upper 60's to 70's by 4:00 and a there evening. tonight will be a nice evening, maybe celebrate valentine's day a day later like me and the wife. our warmest day, temperatures tomorrow in the mid-60's and the coast and low 70's, and we will drop into the mid 60's by sunday and low 60's away from the coast by monday. have a good day. >> nice commute on 80 westbound beyond university avenue to emeryville. early road work is all clear with headlights but it is moving the scene limit and looking good. here is what it looks like funneled into

. and 62 degrees in santa rosa. now looks like as we head throughout the afternoon plenty of sunshine all the way to the coastline. mostly clear tonight with those offshore winds. and it looks like it's going to be a dry weekend but probably not quite as warm especially into sunday. that's when we are likely going to see a sea breeze pick up once again and temperatures will drop off. temperatures in the low to mid- 60s this time of year. nine degrees above average in san francisco and about 69, 73 in san jose and about 70 in santa rosa so you get the idea working on a great day ahead. this is probably the peak of the heat as the high pressure is overhead. that's when these temperatures start to warm up. it will be a very nice day today and a mild weekend indeed. warm temperatures all around the bay area. even out at the coastline. today looking very nice outside. the temperatures expected to pop up as high as 37 degrees in san jose. about 68 in half moon bay. 70 in hayward. east bay temperatures looking very nice, as well. let's plan on 69 in live

camera's shaking around. we are at 0 visibility for nevado, three tenths of a mile for santa rosa and napa up. and earlier this morning we saw some bids at fog all around as at all. that is no longer the case. visibility is as zero driving our mt. view at three tenths of a mile. allow yourself extra time on the roads and but temperatures will stay on. yesterday we had below the freezing mark, i do not think it will be the case today. highlight some of the cooler spot for you, santa rosa 43, 41 hayward, 47 san francisco. palin the numbers of the course of today you could see on future cast four. chances are your under the green indicating 60s. there are some seventies santa rosa. 2:00 p.m. we will see some 74 napa up, mid to upper 60s for just about everyone else. another gorgeous day ahead with temperatures above average. by 8:00 p.m. tonight, if you have valentine's day plans it will be mild with temperatures in the fifties and low 60s. after an highs in your neighborhood, today seven these are the norm. that is the case of the south bay, evergreen 70, cupertino and los gatos. pa

of a sea breeze keeping you cooler, san jose 58. santa rosa 65. now, it is still winter. i have video confirmation that it is still winter because all you have to do is go to texas for the second time in a week, more than a foot of snow fell in the panhandle of texas. so we're talking about getting to the 70s, they are just hoping to get back to 40 in and around amarillo. 19 inches of snow over the past few days. for us dry radar, high-def doppler radar showing dry conditions but with clear skies. it will be yet another chilly night 30s in fremont, concord and fairfield. napa 37. santa rosa 36. here's the setup in the atmosphere. another boundary moved through. a little cloud cover all the rainfall to the north. there's another storm moving in but it will also stay to the north. let's talk about wind direction to determine whether we see the 60s or the 70s. next couple of days, we still have a light onshore flow out of the northwest. rain stays north but we'll state in the 60s around average. now let's talk about thursday, friday and saturday. a

know on the hayward side there's fog. concord, livermore, napa, santa rosa. yesterday, it was the north bay. patchy fog but hazy and warm. mostly sunny. higher clouds. next rain, thursday, friday. next thursday, friday. although it's looking more like a colder system than a rainy system. we need the rain. if you thought where is the breeze, there has not been much. others in the east bay, have a pretty good offshore wind continuing. that for shom the offshore breeze is in place. that means the coast has really nice weather. temperatures on the lows are even warmer that morning than yesterday it will be sunny. mostly cloudy. there's some higher clouds. i think most of those day towards more central california. 30s for some. 49. redwood city, san rafael is at 41. livermore is 32. so some of those higher clouds to the south, the forecast model picks up on it a little bit. mainly about san jose south and then the fog will fall apart. there will be some but then it will go away. today, a challengey start. hazy sunshine. highs, 7 in clearlake. 70 in gilroy. sonoma is in there. st. helena warm

, oakland's got 51, santa rosa is at 39, san jose has 45 degrees. high pressure is in full command of the pacific and will continue to stay there for the next couple of days before is begins to break down under the influence of a cold front on its way from the gulf of alaska. that will spread rain by tuesday. mostly sunny today, cooler tomorrow and then it'll get wet late on monday with rain spreading over most of the bay on tuesday. satellite and radar shows an anemic cold front up there and the high clouds we're getting are coming from southern california and moving north over the state at the moment. so you go outside right now and you'll see clouds 15,000 to 30,000 feet. high pressure is behind all of that. it's just that we don't have quite as warm numbers as we had yesterday. just fair and mild today. snow pack update, we're at 75% of normal snow pack. that's way down from where we are at the start of the year. and the pinpoint forecast, if you're heading out of the bay area, is calling for sunny skies in the central valley, a little bit o

in the clouds and also some patchy dense fog out toward some of the inland valleys for santa rosa and napa. concord a record low of 40. here's the weather system developing out here in the pacific. tomorrow partly to mostly cloudy skies. the clouds will be on the increase. this moves into the region producing rainfall. we haven't been talking about much rainfall this time of year. this is not an extreme rainfall producer. but the cold air moves in. that will drop our snow levels down to 2,500 feet possibly down to 2,000 feet. so we could have a bit of a dusting in the bay area hills. as we mentioned the clouds will start out the day for your monday. then they thicken up the cloud cover. this system tries to bring a few sprinkles. here's what happens first thing tuesday. the cold air sweeps into the region and we could have dropping snow levels down to 2,000 feet especially by tuesday afternoon and tuesday evening. bulk of the rainfall expected by mid-morning tuesday. as far as tomorrow we'll continue to cool things off mainly in the mid- to upper 50s. no more 70s. no more 50s. san jose a f
